About the place
The house is on Bastionului Street in the north of the citadel, about 200 m from the Clock Tower. Georgius Krauss, the town notary who wrote a chronicle of Sighișoara and Transylvania, lived here. The restoration kept the vaults, the roof timbers and the frescoes found in the walls, the oldest from the 1600s; one of the rooms is called the 'Fresco Room'.
The restaurant serves traditional and international dishes and has a terrace. Reviews from 2026 praise the clean rooms and the staff, and one mentions the old tiled stoves. It holds 9.4 on Booking from 959 reviews and 4.5 on Google from 855 reviews.
